The Claraty Arts Project is an arts program, studio and gallery in Santa Cruz. It is one of three services operated by Mainstream, Inc., a Santa Cruz based organization committed to the equality and empowerment of people with develop mental and intellectual disabilities. Its purpose is to support and advance the development of a new, positive, collective identity for develop mentally disabled adults via arts education, training, expression and production.

The Claraty Arts Project supports about 26 studio artists in our Virtual Studio and physical workspace. Both online and in-person, Claraty provides artists with relevant instruction, art history and art theory lectures, exhibits in our in-house gallery, and visits to local museums and other community spaces for inspiration.

In the past few years, Claraty Arts has participated in exhibitions at many locations, and events in Santa Cruz County, and The Bay Area. As a studio,Claraty is able to execute a variety of art events, such as gallery shows with (opening and closing) receptions, pop-up art fairs, and local retail installations.
