Amir Dahroug, born in 1997 in Tanta, Egypt, uses primarily wax and oil paints, occasionally watercolors and colored pencils, for his mostly colorful works, which are characterized by self-designed and consistently recurring motifs. He also tirelessly cuts up newspapers to create creative papier-mâché sculptures.
